    The Chief Medical Director has received the Registrar with her team from Medical & Dental Council of Nigeria on accreditation visit to the departments of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Pathology and diagnosis, Preventive dentistry, Restorative dentistry and Child dental health of the ABU Teaching Hospital, Zaria.

    A statement signed by Haruna Ibrahim information and public relations unit of the hospital said receiving the team the Chief Medical Director expressed his appreciation to Registrar, stressing that the visit will provide an opportunity for the MDCN team to assess and observe our program in action and to verify the quality practice of our training and they are free to conduct a comprehensive assessment

    Also speaking , the registrar Medical & Dental Council of Nigeria MDCN, Prof. Fatima Kyari said that MDCN is saddle with responsibility of regulating the practice of Medicine, Dentistry and Alternative Medicine at the most efficient manner that safeguard the best healthcare delivery

    She said they were in ABUTH to assess the quality of the Institutions and the dentistry House manship programs and to assist in the improvement of the program and the institutions.

    They will be going round to to conduct a comprehensive self assessment in ensuring all aspects of the training are aligned with the requirements

    The Medical & Dental Council of Nigeria were in ABUTH Zaria to evaluate and assess the training of House officers in the department of Maxillofacial and Dental Surgery and the Faculty of dentistry of the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria

    The visit was attended by Prof. Mohammed Ibrahim Zaria CMAC, Prof. Ismail Dahiru Provost ABU College of Medicine, Prof Sunday Olusegun by Ajike, Dean, Faculty of Dentistry among others.
