The Commander Guards Brigade, Brigadier General Adebisi Olusegun Onasanya, today 15 April 2026, received the Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Ahmed Mohammed Sanusi, who paid a courtesy visit to the Brigade Headquarters as part of his ongoing familiarization tour to key security establishments within the Federal Capital Territory following his recent assumption of duty.
A statement signed by Lieutenant OlawuyiI Oduntola , acting assistant director army public relations headquarters Brigade of Guards said the visit highlighted the critical importance of sustained inter-agency collaboration in addressing contemporary security challenges within the FCT. Both senior officers reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening operational synergy, intelligence sharing, and coordinated responses in order to enhance the safety and security of residents and critical national assets in the capital.
In his remarks, the Commander Guards Brigade emphasized that effective security management in the FCT requires seamless cooperation among all security stakeholders. He noted that the Brigade remains resolute in its mandate of safeguarding the seat of government and expressed confidence that closer collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force under the leadership of CP Sanusi will further consolidate ongoing efforts.
Similarly, the Commissioner of Police reiterated his commitment to deepening existing partnerships with the Nigerian Army and other security agencies. He assured that the FCT Police Command will intensify efforts in crime prevention, intelligence-led policing, and rapid response mechanisms to ensure a secure environment for all residents of the Territory.
