    COMMITMENT TO SERVICE: Zaria Local Government Honours Outstanding Staff,Reaffirms Commitment Workers Well being

    The Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government Council, Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad Jaga, has reiterated his administration’s unwavering commitment to the welfare, motivation, and professional development of staff as a cornerstone for effective grassroots governance and improved service delivery.

    This was contained in a statement signed by Galadima Ishaq Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman Zaria Local Government Council issued to newsmen.

    This was highlighted during the award and recognition ceremony organized by the Works and Infrastructure Department of the Council to honour nine outstanding staff members for their dedication, professionalism, and exemplary service, as well as bid farewell to four officers recently redeployed to other local government councils within Kaduna State.

    Delivering a goodwill message on behalf of the Executive Chairman, the Council Secretary, Alhaji Shuaibu Abdullahi Mai-Canter, assured staff that the Executive Council under the leadership of Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad Jaga will continue to prioritize workers’ welfare, staff motivation, and institutional capacity building to ensure efficient, responsive, and people-oriented local government administration.

    Speaking thereafter, the Director of Administration and Finance, Zaria Local Government Council, Hajiya Amina Abubakar Aliyu, commended the visionary leadership of the Executive Chairman, particularly his commitment to the prompt payment of salaries and the welfare of workers, describing the administration as one that continues to inspire dedication and higher productivity among staff.

    Also speaking, the Director of Administration and Finance, Kaduna North Local Government, Alhaji Muhammad Dahiru Usman, described the initiative as a laudable effort that promotes excellence, professionalism, and increased productivity in the local government service.

    Similarly, the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Zaria Branch, Comrade Isma’il Umar, applauded the Executive Chairman for providing an enabling working environment and placing workers’ welfare at the centre of his administration. He urged staff to remain committed, disciplined, and dedicated in support of the Chairman’s developmental vision for Zaria Local Government.

    The Executive Chairman was represented at the ceremony by the Council Secretary, Alhaji Shuaibu Abdullahi Mai-Canter.

    Also in attendance were the Speaker of the Zaria Local Government Legislative Council, Rt. Hon. Auwal Balarabe; the Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman, Malam Ishaq Galadima; officials of the Local Government Service Board; the Area Commander, Federal Fire Service, Zaria Area Command, ACF Ahmad Aminu Kiyawa; members of the Local Government Management Committee led by the Director of Administration and Finance, Hajiya Amina Abubakar Aliyu; the Chairman of NULGE, Zaria Branch, Comrade Isma’il Umar; and other senior government officials.

    The ceremony featured the presentation of awards and certificates to the deserving staff members, while the redeployed officers were honoured for their invaluable contributions and wished success in their new places of assignment.
