The Commissioner of Police, Zamfara State Command, CP Ahmad Muhammad Bello, psc+, mnips, has received the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University Gusau, Professor Tukur Adamu, alongside the university academic Board members on a courtesy visit to the Command Headquarters.
A statement signed by the command public relations officer DSP Yazid Abubakar said the visit, which is aimed at strengthening collaboration between the Police and the academic community, provided an avenue to discuss issues of mutual interest, particularly in the areas of security within and around the university environment.
In his remarks, CP Ahmad Muhammad Bello appreciated the Vice Chancellor and his team for the visit and emphasized the importance of partnership between the Police and educational institutions in promoting peace, safety, and development. He assured the management of the University of the Command’s readiness and determination towards ensuring the protection of lives and property within the institution and its host communities.
The Commissioner further urged the University authorities to sustain information gathering, intelligence sharing and proactive engagement with security agencies to curb criminal activities.
Earlier, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Tukur Adamu, commended the Zamfara State Police Command for its efforts in maintaining law and order across the State. He expressed the University’s readiness to continue working closely with the Police to enhance security on campus and beyond.
The visit concluded with a renewed commitment to sustain collaboration for a safe and secured society.
