The Commissioner of Police, Akwa Ibom State Command, CP Baba Mohammed Azare fsi, has commended officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force, Akwa Ibom State Police Command, other sister security agencies, stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and the good people of Akwa Ibom State for the peaceful and orderly conduct of the APC Party Primaries held across the State today.

A statement signed by the command public relations officer DSP Timfon John said the Commissioner of Police notes with satisfaction the high level of maturity, cooperation, and law-abiding disposition exhibited by party faithful, supporters, youths, and residents throughout the exercise. He further applauds the professionalism, resilience, and strategic deployment of security personnel whose coordinated efforts ensured adequate security coverage and prevented any breakdown of law and order during the primaries.

CP Baba Mohammed Azare, fsi, particularly appreciates the collaboration and synergy among all security agencies in the State, which contributed immensely to the peaceful atmosphere recorded during the exercise. He stated that the successful conduct of the primaries is a clear demonstration that the people of Akwa Ibom State remain committed to peace, democratic values, and the continued progress of the State.

The Commissioner of Police urges political actors, supporters, and members of the public to sustain the same peaceful conduct, tolerance, and respect for the rule of law during subsequent political activities and other electoral processes in the State.

He further warns that the Command will not tolerate acts capable of causing violence, intimidation, thuggery, or disruption of public peace, and assures that anyone found attempting to undermine the peace and security of the State will be decisively dealt with in accordance with the law.

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command remains fully committed to ensuring a safe, secure, and peaceful environment for all residents and democratic processes in the State.
