The Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Education, Zaria, Professor Yahaya Isa Bunkure, has received members of the Danja Community, Katsina State, who visited the University to appreciate the institution’s management and Governing Council over the appointment of one of their sons, Professor Kabiru Haruna Danja, as Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Management Services.
A statement signed by Sani Lawal maqarphy media aide to the VC said the delegation was introduced to the Vice-Chancellor by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Management Services, Professor Kabiru Haruna Danja.
The visit was aimed at expressing the community’s appreciation to the Vice-Chancellor, the University Management and the Governing Council, led by the Pro-Chancellor, Ambassador Baba Jidda Ahmad, OFR, for finding Professor Danja worthy of the appointment.
Receiving the delegation, Professor Bunkure appreciated the Danja Community for the visit and said the appointment of Professor Danja was based strictly on competence, merit and suitability for the position.
The Vice-Chancellor reaffirmed the University’s commitment to promoting effectiveness, professionalism and excellence in the discharge of its academic and administrative responsibilities.
He noted that the institution would continue to uphold merit and competence in its leadership and management processes in the interest of the University’s growth and development.
The delegation expressed appreciation to the Vice-Chancellor for the warm reception and prayed for his continued success, as well as the sustained progress and development of the Federal University of Education, Zaria.
