The Deputy Governor of Zamfara State, Mani Malam Mummuni Masamar Mudi (Matawallen Bukkuyum), has received members of the Monitoring Committee from the National Economic Council (NEC) Secretariat, Abuja, during a courtesy visit to his office.
This was contained in a statement signed by Shehu Adamu Gusau CPS to the Deputy Governor made available to newsmen.
While welcoming the delegation, led by Dr. Gloria K. Ahmed, the Deputy Governor thanked Almighty Allah for the opportunity to receive the distinguished visitors, who are in Zamfara State on a peer learning and monitoring visit.
He stated that the projects and programmes executed by the present administration clearly demonstrate the government’s unwavering commitment to addressing the yearnings and aspirations of the people of Zamfara State.
He noted that although the committee had already witnessed many of these achievements during its visit, it was only proper to formally welcome them and reaffirm the government’s dedication to people-oriented development
The Deputy Governor further described the Executive Governor of Zamfara State, His Excellency Dr. Dauda Lawal, as a leader committed to serving all citizens irrespective of background, with a vision of transforming Zamfara into a model state worthy of emulation across the country.
On behalf of the Government and people of Zamfara State, the Deputy Governor expressed profound appreciation to the National Economic Council Secretariat and the Federal Ministry responsible for Budget and Economic Planning for their continuous support towards the successful implementation of the state’s development programmes.
He also requested the delegation to convey the warm regards and appreciation of the Zamfara State Government to the Honourable Minister and his management team for their dedication to promoting sound planning, budgeting policies and economic reforms aimed at building a stronger Nigeria in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
The Deputy Governor wished the members of the Monitoring Committee a successful and rewarding stay in Zamfara State and prayed for their safe return to their respective destinations upon the completion of their assignment.
