In a beautiful intersection of celebrations, the First Lady also congratulates children across the state as they mark this year’s Children’s Day. Describing children as the invaluable future leaders and ambassadors of our society, Her Excellency places a vital call on parents, guardians and communities to take absolute care of our children by closely monitoring their movements, peer associations and moral activities. She emphasizes that protecting our youth from negative societal influences requires active vigilance, intentional mentorship and a foundation rooted in good morals and sound education.
To enrich the spirit of the season, Her Excellency strongly encourages families to use this festive period to strengthen biological and communal bonds by visiting relatives and fostering kinship. Furthermore, she reminds the faithful that true obedience to Allah is reflected in how we treat the vulnerable. Demonstrating this commitment to compassion, Her Excellency has distributed extensive Sallah welfare packages, including cows, rams, essential foodstuffs, and cash assistance to various Muslim religious organizations, vulnerable persons, foundations, and support groups across the state. Beneficiaries of this timely intervention include FOMWAN, MSO, NASFAT, female political support groups, youth associations and several humanitarian foundations, all aimed at easing the financial burden on families during this festive period.
