    FARMER GOVERNOR BAGO HOLDS DISCUSSIONS WITH PRIVATE FIRM ON PROPOSED CNG INFRASTRUCTURE INVESTMENT.

    Niger State governor, farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago has held discussions with the representatives of a private firm, Hiter-Stata Energy investment Ltd on a proposed investment in Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) infrastructure across the State.

    A statement signed by Bologi Ibrahim Chief press secretary to the Governor said, the delegation of the company which was led by the company’s deputy Managing Director, Mr. Ezuma Okoronkwo discussed extensively on the Company’s plans to develop a robust CNG ecosystem in the State, including the establishment of CNG mother and daughter stations.

    Discussions were further held on vehicle conversion centres, and other supporting infrastructure aimed at expanding access to cleaner, more affordable, and sustainable energy for transportation, industries, businesses, and households.

    Other issues explored were areas of collaboration between the Niger State Government and Hiter-Stata Energy Investment Ltd. to facilitate successful implementation of the project and maximize its economic and social benefits for the residents of the State.

    The Executive Governor of Niger state, farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago who described the proposal as remarkable used the platform to reaffirm his administration’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for strategic investments that promote sustainable economic growth, infrastructure development, energy security, and improved livelihoods across the State

    The deputy Managing Director of the Company, Mr. Ezuma Okoronkwo highlighted the project’s potential to accelerate the adoption of CNG as an alternative transportation fuel, reduce energy and transportation costs, create employment opportunities, attract private sector investment, and support the Federal Government’s Decade of Gas Initiative.

    The proposed investment is also expected to strengthen the position of Niger State as a leading destination for clean energy infrastructure and industrial development.
