The Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA), Abia State, on Thursday September 17 2026, paid a courtesy visit to the Commander, 14 Brigade Nigerian Army, Brigadier General AM Dikko, at the Headquarters 14 Brigade, Ohafia, Abia State. The visit was aimed at strengthening the relationship and promoting greater collaboration between FERMA and the 14 Brigade, Nigerian Army, in areas of mutual interest, security, and community development.

Speaking during the visit, the leader of the Delegation, FERMA, Abia State field office Engineer Bruno Okoduwa expressed his appreciation to the Commander and officers of 14 Brigade for receiving the delegation. He explained that the visit was part of FERMA’s efforts to build stronger working relationships with key stakeholders and institutions within the state.
Engineer Bruno Okoduma emphasised the importance of cooperation between FERMA and the Nigerian Army, noting that effective communication and collaboration would help both organisations respond better to issues affecting communities and infrastructure. He also expressed FERMA’s willingness to maintain a cordial relationship with the Brigade and explore areas where both organisations can work together.
In his response, the Commander, 14 Brigade Nigerian Army, Brigadier General AM Dikko, welcomed the delegation and stressed the importance of maintaining strong relationships between government agencies and the Nigerian Army.
The Commander encouraged FERMA to always call on the Nigerian Army whenever the need arises, assuring the agency of the Brigade’s cooperation within its mandate. He also stressed the importance of timely communication, mutual understanding and collaboration among government institutions in achieving their respective responsibilities.
Highlights of the visit included signing of visitor’s book, presentation of souvenirs and group photographs.
The engagement further underscored the importance of inter-agency cooperation in promoting effective service delivery, infrastructure development and the wellbeing of communities across Abia State
