The final match of the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, DISCOS Iliyasu Balarabe Cup, has been concluded in Zaria city.
The final match was contested between Boys Wonders and Zaria Strikers and it ended goalless in regulation time.
At the end, the match was decided by penalty kicks, where Zaria Strikers scored three penalties, while Boys Wonders missed two penalties.
Zaria Strikers emerged victorious with a 3-0 win in the penalty shootout.
Speaking shortly after the end of the tournament, the sponsor of the competition, Deputy Chief of Staff to the Speaker, Malam Iliyasu Balarabe, reaffirmed his commitment to continue supporting sports activities.
Malam Iliyasu Balarabe urged youths to avoid engaging in activities that will ruin their lives and to stay away from bad vices.
Also, the former Accountant General of Kaduna State, Malam Umar Hassan Waziri, congratulated the teams that were successful.

About thirty football teams participated in the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Speaker, Malam Iliyasu Balarabe Cup competition. The teams came from Zaria and its environs, and the competition was conducted in an atmosphere of joy and entertainment.
