    GOC 3 DIVISION PLEDGES SUSTAINED SUPPORT FOR NAFOWA

    The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Division Nigerian Army and Commander Operation ENDURING PEACE, Major General Folusho Oyinlola has reaffirmed the Division’s commitment to supporting the Nigerian Air Force Officers’ Wives Association (NAFOWA) in the discharge of its programmes and activities.

    A statement signed by Lieutenant Colonel Olumide Victor Olukoya Acting Deputy’ director army public relations,3 division Nigerian army said the GOC made this known on Wednesday, 24 June 2026 when the Coordinator of the Nigerian Air Force Officers’ Wives Association, Jos Chapter, Mrs Nsikan Bassey paid him a courtesy visit at the Headquarters 3 Division, Maxwell Khobe Cantonment, Jos. Major General Oyinlola congratulated Mrs Bassey on her recent appointment as the Coordinator of NAFOWA and wished her a successful tenure. He appreciated her for finding time to visit the Division and assured her of the Division’s continued support towards the association’s initiatives whenever required. The GOC also reiterated the importance of inter-service cooperation and collaboration in fostering unity and promoting the welfare of military personnel and their families.

    Earlier in her remarks, Mrs Bassey expressed her profound appreciation to Major General Oyinlola for his sustained efforts towards maintaining peace and security in Plateau State. She commended the leadership of 3 Division Nigerian Army for its contributions to ensuring a stable and secure environment that continues to support socioeconomic activities within the state.

    The Coordinator NAFOWA also highlighted the cordial and mutually beneficial relationship that exists between the association and 3 Division Nigerian Army. She emphasized the importance of sustaining the relationship and solicited the Division’s continued support for future programmes and events of the Association. Mrs Bassey noted that such support would further strengthen the bond between the military and host communities. It will also, enhance the Association’s efforts towards the welfare of its members and their families.

    The visit further reinforced the existing relationship between NAFOWA and 3 Division Nigerian Army, emphasizing the shared commitment of both organisations towards advancing the welfare and well-being of military families. Highlights of the visit were the presentation of souvenirs and a group photograph.
