The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 81 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Adebayo Abdulrahman Babalola, has stressed the need for sustained collaboration among security and law enforcement agencies, stating that no single agency can effectively address the nation’s security challenges alone. He made this known while receiving the Acting Zonal Director, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Lagos Zonal Directorate I, Assistant Commander of EFCC (ACE I) Adebayo Adeniyi, and his team during a familiarization visit to the Headquarters 81 Division, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Thursday, 18 June 2026.
Major General Babalola noted that effective synergy, intelligence sharing, and mutual support among security agencies remain critical to safeguarding lives and property as well as advancing national development. He highlighted the Division’s operational successes since he assumed command in January 2026, adding that suspects arrested during operations had been handed over to relevant agencies for further action.
The GOC also reaffirmed the Nigerian Army’s zero-tolerance policy on indiscipline under the leadership of the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu NAM, noting that a standing Court Martial is in place to ensure accountability among personnel.
