The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe State, Dr Jamil Isyaku Gwamna, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of a prominent social media influencer, Abbas Deba.
Abbas Deba, an indigene of Yemaltu/Deba Federal Constituency, passed away following complications arising from injuries sustained in a car accident.
A statement signed by media aide to Dr Jamil Isyaku Gwamna, APC Gombe State Gubernatorial candidate said until his death, he served as the Chairman of the Social Media Team for the Yamaltu/Deba Constituency.
Dr Gwamna described the late Abbas Deba as a God-fearing, dedicated, and patriotic individual who committed his life to the development of his community, contributing significantly to the growth of the social media space in the state.
The death of Abbas Deba is, without doubt, a great loss to all of us. At this time of mourning and sorrow, we pray that Almighty Allah forgives his shortcomings and grants him Aljannatul Firdaus,” the statement read.
Gwamna also extended his heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, the people of Yemaltu/Deba Federal Constituency, and the entire people of Gombe State over this irreparable loss.
