Former Vice Chancellor of Modibbo Adama University Yola, Professor Abdul lahi Liman Tukur has been appointed the Director General of Adamawa Renewed Hope 226 Movement(ARH 226 M) in Adamawa state.

Tukur is appointed by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri to spearhead the 2027 General election political activities for the All progressives Congress APC candidates in the state.

Chief press secretary to Governor Finitri, Humwashi Wonosikou disclosed the development in a press statement issued in Yola on Wednesday stressing that the movement is a strategic political mobilization platform aimed at ensuring resounding victory for the All Progressives Congress, APC, both in Adamawa State and at the centre in the 2027 general elections, in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Wonosikou stated that the Governor Fintiri congratulated Prof. Tukur on his well-deserved appointment and expressed confidence in his capacity to lead the Movement to success.

“Professor Abdullahi Liman Tukur brings to this assignment impeccable academic pedigree, proven leadership qualities, and a deep commitment to democratic ideals. His wealth of experience in governance, scholarship, and grassroots mobilization made him the right choice to drive this critical assignment.

“The Governor noted that Prof. Tukur’s integrity, intellectual depth, and unblemished record of service to Adamawa State and the nation will be vital in galvanizing party faithful, stakeholders, and the electorate toward a united front for victory.

“Fintiri charged the new Director General to work closely with party leaders, stakeholders, youth and women groups to expand the reach of the Movement across the 21 Local Government Areas of the State.

Similarly the Governor has also approved the appointment of Chiwaren Emmanuel Abubakar as the Secretary of Adamawa Renewed Hope 226 Movement expressing confidence in his capacity to serve.

He has charged to work closely with the Director General and the party stakeholders for the over all success of the party.

“Governor Fintiri urged all APC members and supporters in Adamawa to give Prof. Tukur and the Movement their full support and cooperation to ensure the party’s success in 2027”. The statement maintained.
