The Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Nasir Idris, has challenged elected officials and political appointees to provide succour to the people by complementing government efforts to deliver more dividends of democracy to communities across the state.
The Gov gave the challenge while flagging off constituency projects executed Hon. Garba Rabiu Kamba, member of the House of Representatives representing Dandi/Arewa Federal Constituency of Kebbi State.
Gov. Idris urged beneficiaries not to sell the items but to use them for their intended purposes.
“I have directed all security agencies to monitor the distribution of the items and ensure it is done according to directives,” he added.
Ealeir, the House of Representatives member, Hon. Rabiu Kamba, said the gesture was part of his constituency project aimed at putting smiles on the faces of his constituents.
He further explained that 166 unemployed youths from the constituency had secured employment in federal parastatals, as well as in the military and paramilitary agencies.
Items distributed include: 5 Toyota cars, 100 motorcycles, 100 sewing machines, 100 grinding machines, 50 deep freezers, 100 water pumps, 500 bags of fertilisers, 10 power tillers, and other farm inputs.
