Governor Uba Sani has commissioned five newly reconstructed township roads in Kwoi, Jaba Local Government Area, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to delivering inclusive infrastructure and improving the quality of life across Kaduna State.

The newly completed roads are Kpop Ham Road, Hospital Road, Gora Road, Doctor Sani Road, and Sabon Gari Road. The projects are expected to ease transportation, improve access to essential services, boost economic activities, and enhance connectivity within the town.

Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, Governor Uba Sani called on residents to continue to live in peace and harmony, stressing that sustainable development can only thrive in an atmosphere of unity. He noted that Jaba Local Government was among the areas that experienced years of infrastructure deficit and assured the people that his administration remains committed to reversing that trend through equitable distribution of projects.

The governor said his administration is taking development to every part of Kaduna State, maintaining that no community should be left behind because development must not be determined by geography.

In her remarks, the Chairman of Jaba Local Government, Mrs Larai Sylvia Ishaku, described the governor as a leader who has demonstrated genuine commitment to the development of the area. She expressed the appreciation of the people for the projects and pledged their continued support for his administration.

Residents also applauded the governor for the intervention, describing the road projects as transformative.

Mrs Hannatu Audi, a farmer and trader, said it was the first time a governor had not only constructed roads in the area but had also supported farmers through the distribution of fertiliser. She noted that the interventions had improved livelihoods and renewed hope among residents.

A commercial motorcycle rider, Japheth Jonathan, said the reconstructed roads had significantly improved movement within the town, reduced travel time, and made transportation easier for both operators and commuters.

Another resident, Khadija Yakubu, said the new roads have made it easier to take her children to school and move around the community. She recalled that before the reconstruction, residents struggled with dusty and poorly maintained roads, especially during the dry season.

The commissioning of the five township roads is another milestone in Governor Uba Sani’s infrastructure agenda, reflecting his administration’s resolve to ensure that every community enjoys the dividends of good governance through strategic investments in roads and other critical public infrastructure.
