The Federal Government has awarded the contract for the construction of the Mando – Birnin Gwari roads at the sum of one hundred and seventy-eight billion naira.

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State disclosed this in Zaria during the groundbreaking ceremony for eleven roads in Zaria and Sabon Gari Local Government Areas.

Mallam Uba Sani added that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has also set aside one trillion naira for the construction of a new light rail/urban rail service within the Kaduna metropolis.

The Governor stressed the need for the people of Kaduna to remain committed to supporting the programs and policies of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration.

Speaking on the groundbreaking of the eleven roads in Zaria and Sabon Gari Local Government Areas, Governor Uba Sani charged communities to imbibe the culture of protecting road infrastructure across the state.

The Governor noted that the new roads would ease traffic congestion, boost socio-economic development, and improve access to hospitals and investment opportunities.

He charged contracting companies to uphold professionalism and respect timelines, as well as deliver quality work to achieve set objectives.

Mallam Uba Sani pointed out that the Limi General Hospital was renovated and equipped with modern facilities in Sabon Gari Local Government Area, while work is ongoing at the Hajia Gambo Sawaba General Hospital in Zaria to equip it and provide the latest instruments to improve healthcare delivery to the people.

The Governor assured the people across Kaduna State that his administration would remain committed to providing the dividends of democracy.
