Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has joined eminent Nigerians in celebrating the 70th birthday of the Emir of Lafia, His Royal Highness, Hon. Justice (Dr.) Sidi Bage Muhammad I, GCFR, JSC (Rtd).
This was contained in a statement issued by the governor’s spokesman Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa on Sunday.
Governor Yusuf described the Emir’s life as a shining example of dedication, integrity, humility and service to humanity, noting that his remarkable journey in public service continues to inspire many across the country.
The governor recalled that Justice Sidi Bage began his judicial career as a Magistrate Grade II in 1982 and rose through the ranks to become a Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, where he served with distinction and earned widespread respect for his wisdom and commitment to justice.
He said the Emir’s ascension to the throne of Lafia after retirement from the apex court represents a unique blend of judicial excellence and traditional leadership.
“Your Royal Highness has remained a symbol of justice, fairness, unity and selfless service both on the bench and on the throne,” Governor Yusuf stated.
The governor added that the Emir’s contributions to nation-building and community development have strengthened institutions and positively impacted countless lives.
“As we celebrate this important milestone, we are reminded that true greatness lies not in the positions one occupies but in the positive difference one makes in the lives of others,” he said.
Governor Yusuf prayed to Almighty Allah (SWT) to grant the Emir continued good health, wisdom, peace and many more years of fruitful service to his people and the nation.
