Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has commended the people of Kano South Senatorial District for endorsing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and expressing their resolve to support All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates across all levels in the 2027 general elections.
The Governor made the commendation on Sunday at the Coronation Hall, Kano, while speaking at a gathering organised by Muryar Kano ta Kudu, where Senator Kawu Sumaila presented an account of his stewardship and highlighted projects and interventions facilitated for the people of Kano South during his tenure in the Senate.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mustapha Muhammad, Governor Yusuf described the gathering and the collective position expressed by the people of Kano South as a demonstration of political maturity, unity and a shared commitment to the development of the senatorial district and Kano State as a whole.
He said the event had clearly demonstrated that the people of Kano South were united in pursuit of common political and developmental objectives.
Governor Yusuf assured the gathering that the people of Kano State would massively support the APC in the 2027 general elections, urging them to sustain the unity and political momentum demonstrated at the event.
He emphasised that continued unity, cooperation and collective action remained essential to achieving the political aspirations and developmental goals of the people of Kano South and the state at large.
The Governor also commended Senator Kawu Sumaila for providing what he described as a comprehensive account of his legislative stewardship and for highlighting the various projects and interventions undertaken for the benefit of constituents during his tenure in the Senate.
Governor Yusuf urged the people of Kano South to sustain the spirit of unity and cooperation, assuring them that their collective efforts would play a significant role in advancing their political and developmental aspirations.
