The executive governor of Niger State, farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago has commended the Minister of Information and National Orientation Muhammad Idris Malagi for his relentless efforts in bringing about unity among APC members in the State.
A statement signed by Bologi Ibrahim Chief Press Secretary the Governor said the farmer governor gave the commendation when he received members of the Malagi Support Group who were at the Government House on a solidarity visit to the farmer governor.
Farmer Bago who described Malagi as a critical figure in the APC said the reconciliatory efforts and solidarity move initiated by the minister has sealed all the cracks in the APC.
He appreciated members of the group and assured them that they would be carried along in the robust campaign council being built across the State where everyone will be given opportunity to participate and contribute to the success of APC.
Farmer Bago emphasized the need for patience among party members and urged them to do away with selfish interest and work with him for the overall growth and development of the State.
He equally reminded them to hold on firm to the APC party, work for its success and ensure that they go back to their respective Local government areas to gain the acceptance of the grassroots.
Leader of the delegation,Theophilus Mamman in his remarks said the decision to come together as one and unite the party as well as to strengthen the relationship between Malagi and the farmer governor prompted their visit.
He emphasized that the unity of supporters of the Minister and that of the farmer governor remains a key factor to the success of the APC Party and for the progress of the State in general as members of the group has decided to support the farmer governor in his re-election bid.
Representatives from the three Senatorial zones of the State who spoke said their visit was to pledge their support for Governor Bago’s administration and to assure him of their commitment to the success of the party in the 2027 general elections.
They all expressed appreciation to the farmer Governor for his efforts towards the development of the State and cautioned members to desist from anti party activities but should rather go back to their respective local government areas, Wards and Units to ensure that they strive towards the victory of President Tinubu and farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago.
