Gombe State Governor and leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, is currently holding a meeting with governorship and National Assembly aspirants on the platform of the APC, in continuation of his broad-based consultations with key stakeholders across the state.
A statement signed by the DG Press Affairs Gombe State government house Ismaila Uba Misilli said the meeting is a follow up to an earlier one held with same senior party figures and respected stakeholders, and is part of deliberate efforts by the party leader to deepen internal dialogue and consensus-building ahead of the emergence of candidates for various elective positions.
The Governor’s engagements with critical stakeholders are aimed at engendering mutual understanding among aspirants in order to ensure a seamless, transparent, well-coordinated and inclusive political process, while strengthening unity, internal cohesion and a common sense of purpose and direction in the party.
Recall that Governor Inuwa Yahaya had earlier hosted party elders, members of the State Working Committee (EXCO), and other critical stakeholders, including the Deputy National Financial Secretary of the APC and North East Zonal officials representing Gombe State as part of ongoing efforts to consolidate the APC’s position as a united and formidable force ahead of the general election.
