Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has commissioned three state-of-the-art digital billboards across Katsina State.

A statement signed by the chief press secretary to the Governor, Ibrahim kaula Mohammad said the billboards, fully powered by solar energy, represent the administration’s commitment to sustainability, cost efficiency, and continuous service delivery regardless of power grid limitations.

The project, implemented under the leadership of KATDICT in partnership with Innercore Media, creates a dynamic platform for disseminating timely and relevant information to residents.

“These billboards serve multiple purposes. They will broadcast government announcements, public service messages, and emergency alerts. They will also create opportunities for private sector advertising and engagement,” Governor Radda stated during the commissioning.

The billboards position Katsina State as a more connected and informed society, strengthening the channel between government and citizens.

The Governor explained that the digital billboards will broadcast curated content supporting civic awareness and economic participation across the state.

“Residents will access timely information about government policies, healthcare initiatives, educational opportunities, and business development programs through these high-visibility platforms,” he added.

The initiative aligns with Katsina’s broader digital transformation agenda. It leverages technology to bridge information gaps, strengthen governance, and create new channels for public-private sector collaboration.

“This is not just about beautiful billboards. This is about using technology to connect our people, strengthen our governance, and create opportunities for growth,” the Governor said.

The solar-powered design ensures uninterrupted service delivery regardless of grid limitations. This approach reduces operational costs while demonstrating the state government’s commitment to environmental sustainability.

The billboards create new advertising opportunities for the private sector, generating revenue for the state while providing businesses with access to quality advertising platforms.

This public-private partnership approach strengthens economic engagement and business growth within the state.
