Katsina State Governor and Chairman, Northwest Governors Forum, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of elder statesman and business icon, Alhaji Bamanga Muhammad Tukur CON, who died today at the age of 91.
In a statement signed by Ibrahim kaula Mohammad, chief press secretary to the Governor, Governor Radda described the late Tukur as a towering figure in Nigeria’s public and private sectors whose contributions to national development spanned decades.
“Alhaji Bamanga Tukur was a quintessential administrator, entrepreneur and political leader. His tenure as Minister for Industries, his stewardship of the Africa Business Roundtable, and his leadership as National Chairman of the PDP left enduring marks on our nation’s economy and democracy,” the Governor stated.
Malam Radda noted that the late elder statesman’s commitment to nation-building, job creation, and regional integration reflected a patriotism that younger generations must emulate.
On behalf of the Government, people of Katsina State, and the Northwest Governors Forum, Governor Radda extends heartfelt condolences to the Tukur family, the Government and people of Adamawa State, and the entire nation.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him AljannatulFirdaus.
