    Governor Radda Mourns Former Finance Minister, Abubakar Alhaji

    Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Nigeria’s former Minister of Finance and the Sardaunan Sokoto, Alhaji Abubakar Alhaji, who passed away on Thursday in Abuja after a brief illness.

    This was contained in a statement signed by the chief press secretary to the Governor Ibrahim kaula Mohammad issued to newsmen.

    “Today, Nigeria has lost one of its finest public servants, Sokoto has lost an illustrious son, and our nation has lost a statesman whose life was defined by integrity, service, and patriotism,” Governor Radda said.

    Governor Radda described the late elder statesman as an accomplished economist, distinguished diplomat, and patriotic Nigerian who served the country with honour in several strategic national assignments.

    “Alhaji Abubakar Alhaji was a remarkable leader whose wisdom, humility, and commitment to public service earned him the respect of Nigerians from all walks of life,” the Governor stated.

    The Governor said the late Sardaunan Sokoto devoted his life to the service of Nigeria and the development of Sokoto State, leaving behind a legacy of integrity, excellence, and selfless leadership.

    “Throughout his distinguished career, he remained committed to nation-building, good governance, and the welfare of the Nigerian people. His passing leaves a great void in our national life,” Governor Radda added.

    Governor Radda said the late statesman’s enduring contributions to public service and national development would continue to inspire future generations.

    “As we mourn this painful loss, we remember a life dedicated to humanity and national progress. His legacy will continue to inspire generations of leaders,” he concluded.

    The Governor extended his condolences to the Governor of Sokoto State, Dr. Ahmad Aliyu, the Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III, the family of the deceased, the government and people of Sokoto State, and all Nigerians.

    He prayed Almighty Allah (SWT) to forgive the late Sardaunan Sokoto, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and give his family and the nation the strength to bearthe irreparable loss
