    * Commends Strong Military Presence Across Communities

The Executive Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, yesterday evening conducted an unscheduled low-profile visit to Matazu town and surrounding communities in Matazu Local Government Area to assess the prevailing security situation and ongoing military operations.

The visit followed a security briefing and operational engagement with the Theatre Commander, Major General W. B. Idris, as well as the implementation of the Presidential directive aimed at strengthening security presence in vulnerable communities across Katsina State.

During the tour, the Governor first visited Matazu town before proceeding to Sayaya, and later to Mazoji, Fafawa, Nasarawan Kalgo, and Tashar Icce communities, where he observed residents peacefully engaging in their lawful daily activities—an indication of improved stability in the affected areas.

He later moved through Sayaya and adjoining communities, where he noted significant deployment of military personnel and other security formations strategically positioned along key routes and settlements.

The Governor also passed through the Mazoji–Dutsinma axis before returning to Katsina, observing continuous patrols and coordinated security operations by relevant security agencies along the corridor.

Governor Radda expressed satisfaction with the level of coordination and visibility of security personnel during the tour, noting that residents were freely going about their lawful activities without disruption.

He commended the efforts of security agencies for sustained patrols and proactive deployment, describing the improvement as a positive step toward restoring lasting peace and stability across Katsina State.
