Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda, particularly through the promotion of sports as a tool for unity, peace, and national development.

The Governor, represented by his deputy, Murtala Sule Garo, made the remark while serving as Special Guest of Honour at the closing ceremony of the Northwest Veterans All-Stars Renewed Hope Novelty Football Match held at Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofar Mata, Kano.
Governor Yusuf commended the organisers, participating teams, supporters, and stakeholders for making the event a success.
He described football as a powerful platform that unites people beyond tribal, religious, political, and social differences.
The Governor said the spirit of teamwork, discipline, and mutual respect displayed during the match reflects the values needed to build a stronger society.
He paid tribute to veteran players and sports enthusiasts for their continued contributions to grassroots sports development.
Governor Yusuf reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to invest more in sports as a means of youth empowerment, social cohesion, and sustainable development.
