    Governor Yusuf Says Civil Servants Dedication Key To Present Administration Success

    Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has reiterated that the success of the present administration largely depends on the positive attitude and dedication of civil servants.

    The Governor made the statement during a Dinner and Award Night organised by the state government for civil servants as part of the May Day celebrations, held at Government House, Kano, on Friday.

    A statement issued by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mustapha Muhammad on Saturday, quoted the Governor as saying that “a knowledgeable and motivated workforce is essential to achieving sustainable development.”

    Governor Yusuf emphasised: “Your contributions may not always be visible to the public, but they are deeply felt in the efficiency of government and the quality of services delivered to our people.”

    “May Day is an opportunity to celebrate excellence and recognise those who have gone above and beyond the call of duty for our state,” the Governor noted.

    He further revealed that the awardees honored are the very best of the state’s public service, having demonstrated exceptional commitment, discipline, innovation, and integrity.

    While congratulating them for excelling in their respective fields, Governor Yusuf urged them to remain steadfast and maintain their current status.

    Earlier in her remarks, the Head of Service, Hajiya Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, stated that the Merit Award Night was designed to celebrate outstanding performance within the civil service.

    Hajiya Maimota noted that the awardees are now ambassadors of the state and called on them to institutionalise dedication and discipline so that others may emulate them.

    In his welcome address, the Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Kano State Chapter, Comrade Kabiru Inuwa commended the state government under Governor Yusuf’s leadership for its commitment to the welfare and progress of civil servants.

    Some of the civil servants that received the award include , Aisha Abba Kalani, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Special Duties, Salisu Mustapha, Permanent Secretary, Establishment Office of the Head of Service,Nura Rabiu, a Director and Muhammad Auwal Mustapha. .

    Others were Bilkisu Ibrahim Khalil, Sadiq Sani A.A., Lawal Tijjani Bala, Salisu Ado Fagalawa and Idris Mas’ud Muhammad
