The Speaker Federal House of Representatives Dr Tajudeen Abbas has performed the groundbreaking ceremony of some projects at Makarfi and Kudan local government areas of zone one senatorial district.
Speaking while performing the ceremony, Dr Tajudeen Abbas said he was excited, and proud to stand with the people to make it happen.
He maintained that development is most meaningful when it moves beyond promises to projects, and beyond plans to tangible progress that improves the lives of our people.
According to him, today, across Makarfi and Kudan in Kaduna State’s Zone One, we took important strides in advancing the development of our communities through strategic investments in education, healthcare and road infrastructure.
He maintained that in Makarfi, work will commence on the construction of male and female hostels at Shehu Idris College of Health Sciences and Technology, a significant intervention to improve students’ accommodation and learning experience.
Dr Tajudeen Abbas explained that he also laid the foundation for a block of 10 classrooms, complete with offices and toilets, at LGEA Makarfi, alongside the groundbreaking for the Makarfi Eastern Bypass Road.
The Speaker said “Our engagements continued with the commissioning of a 20-bed Primary Healthcare Centre in Gazara, the handover of a vehicle to Government Commercial College, and an inspection of the proposed renovation works at the institution”.
The Speaker was also at Kudan/Hunkuyi, where he extended the development drive with the groundbreaking for another block of 10 classrooms at Sabon Garin Hunkuyi, the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) Study Centre in Hunkuyi, complete with a library and hall, and the Hunkuyi Eastern Bypass Road.
He said these interventions reflect a simple but enduring conviction: when we invest in education, we empower generations; when we strengthen healthcare, we protect lives; and when we build roads, we open communities to greater opportunities.
