The All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in Gombe State, Dr. Jamil Isyaku Gwamna, has assured the people of the state that his administration would ensure justice, fairness and inclusiveness if elected in 2027.
A statement signed by Ibrahim Sani Shawai Spokesman to Dr Jamil Isyaku Gwamna said Gwamna gave the assurance while receiving representatives of the Concerned Christian Leaders in Gombe, Gombe South Progressive Ambassadors for Jamilu and the Executive members of the Cooperative Finance Agency, who separately paid solidarity visits to his office.
The APC candidate said his vision was to build a government that would promote fairness, equal opportunities and meaningful participation of citizens in governance, irrespective of their backgrounds, religious affiliations or political differences.
He said: “Our hope is to bring APC from top to bottom and build a government that will give every citizen a sense of belonging. Justice for all, as well as empowerment and opportunities for our youths and women”
Gwamna noted that youths and women constitute a significant part of the state’s population and deserved policies and programmes that would enable them to acquire relevant skills, access opportunities, become self-reliant and contribute meaningfully to the development of Gombe State.
He also called for unity among APC members and supporters, urging them to take the party’s message of development, opportunity and inclusive governance to communities across the state.
Speaking separately, the leaders of the three groups expressed their support for Dr Gwamna and the APC, pledging to mobilise their members and supporters at the grassroots for the party’s victory.
The representatives said they would work in their respective communities to sensitise voters, encourage political participation and mobilise support for Gwamna and other APC candidates.
They further assured the APC candidate of their commitment to grassroots mobilisation, stressing that their various associations would continue to engage their members and communities ahead of the election.
The groups also expressed confidence in Gwamna’s commitment to justice, youth and women empowerment, saying these issues would be central to their mobilisation efforts across the state.
