The Headquarters Nigerian Army Corps of Supply and Transport (NACST) on 20 July 2026 held a Send Off Ceremony in honour of the outgoing Acting Director Inspection and 2 other senior officers of the Corps, in recognition of their dedication and service to the Corps.
A statement signed by Lieutenant Sani Haladu ,Acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations,Headquarters Nigerian Army Corps of Supply and Transport said the event which took place at the HQ NACST Conference Room, Bonny Cantonment, Victoria Island, Lagos, was attended by officers, soldiers and civilian staff who gathered to celebrate the remarkable contributions of the outgoing officers during their tour of duty at the Headquarters.
While delivering goodwill messages, senior officers and colleagues commended the outgoing officers for their professionalism, commitment and exemplary leadership. They praised their invaluable contributions to the growth and success of the Corps and wished them greater accomplishments in their future appointments.
In his remarks, the Commander Corps of Supply and Transport (CCST), Major General Nansak Danjuma Shagaya, expressed appreciation to the outgoing officers for their loyalty, dedication and selfless service to the Corps and the Nigerian Army. He acknowledged their outstanding contributions to the attainment of the Corps’ objectives and charged them to continue upholding the highest standards of professionalism and discipline in their new assignments.
Responding on behalf of the departing officers, the outgoing Acting Director Inspection Col EO Owunsoro expressed profound gratitude to the CCST for his leadership, mentorship and unwavering support throughout their tenure at HQ NACST. He also thanked the officers, soldiers and civilian staff for their cooperation, camaraderie and support, assuring that they would continue to uphold the values of the Corps wherever they serve.
The ceremony climaxed with the presentation of souvenirs, group photographs and refreshments
