The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has published the final list of candidates contesting the 2027 governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections in the Country.
A statement signed by the Secretary to the Commission, Mrs Rose Oriaran-Anthony indicates that a total number of 21 out of the 22 registered political parties Governorship candidates and their deputies made the list.

It also contains the names political parties, ages, gender and educational qualifications of those contesting for State Houses of Assembly Elections.

The publication provides voters and other electoral stakeholders with the official details of those seeking to govern various States in the country.

INEC is expected to continue preparations for the general elections in line with its electoral timetable, while political parties and candidates prepare to present their programmes and seek the support of the voters.
The commission made the final list available through its official website for public reference and verification.
