Dr. Jamil Isyaku Gwamna, the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in Gombe State and Sardaunan Gombe, has felicitated with Muslim faithful across the state, on the occasion of Hijrah 1448AH, marking the beginning of the Islamic New Year.
In his message commemorating the 1st day of Muharram 1448AH, through his media aide Ibrahim Sani shawai,Gwamna prayed that the new Islamic year brings lasting peace, prosperity, and unity to Gombe State and Nigeria at large.
He described the Hijrah as a pivotal event in Islamic history, symbolizing the highest values of faith, resilience, sacrifice, and patience.
Gwamna urged Muslims in Gombe State to use the occasion to reflect on its profound lessons and embrace the opportunity to strengthen their relationship with Allah and humanity.
“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all Muslims in Gombe State and across Nigeria on this significant occasion. I pray that the new Islamic year ushers in goodness, blessings, and renewed hope for all,” he stated.
The Sardaunan Gombe further called on citizens to promote peaceful coexistence by strengthening bonds of unity and harmony within their communities.
He also emphasized the importance of sustained prayers for peace and security in the country, while encouraging community vigilance as a means of supporting government efforts to enhance internal security.
