The Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government Council, Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad Jaga, yesterday, Wednesday, 2nd September 2026, personally contributed ₦1,000,000 (One Million Naira) as Sadaqah Jariyah towards the reconstruction and rehabilitation of Abubakar Sadiq Jumma’at Mosque and the development of its Islamiyya classrooms at Fegin Sallau, Gangaren Kilaco, Gabashin Gyallesu, Zaria.
A statement signed by Galadima Ishaq Chief Press Secretary ,Office of the Executive Chairman, Zaria Local Government Council said the Chairman also presented a ₦20,000,000 (Twenty Million Naira) cheque on behalf of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen GCON, towards the reconstruction of the mosque and development of its Islamiyya classrooms.
Speaking on the contribution, Chairman Jaga expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for the opportunity to support a project that goes beyond the construction of a place of worship. He noted that the development of the Islamiyya classrooms would provide children and students with a better environment to acquire religious knowledge while nurturing discipline, good character, responsibility and a spirit of service to the community.
Chairman Jaga further appreciated the mosque committee and the people of Fegin Sallau for their warm reception, support and prayers, and prayed that Almighty Allah reward all those contributing to the success of the project abundantly.
His personal ₦1 million Sadaqah Jariyah contribution reflects Chairman Jaga’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote religious education, community development and the spiritual and moral wellbeing of the people of Zaria Local Government.
