The Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government Council, Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad Jaga, has presided over the 19th Executive Council Meeting, where key issues relating to the administration, ongoing projects and development priorities of the Local Government were deliberated upon.
A statement signed by Galadima Ishaq Chief Press Secretary office of the Chairman said the meeting provided an opportunity to review the progress of ongoing projects, assess completed projects and consider necessary measures to strengthen government programmes, improve service delivery and ensure that development initiatives continue to address the needs of the people.
Following the meeting, Chairman Jaga received a delegation from the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Jos, led by Mal. Farouq Umar Mohammed, alongside other members of the delegation, for an on-the-spot assessment and interactive engagement with the Local Government
The engagement formed part of NIPSS’s assessment of local government administrative policies, institutional practices and strategic development initiatives, providing an opportunity for interaction with the Council’s leadership on governance, policy implementation and grassroots development.

During the engagement, experiences were shared on the Council’s administrative processes, development priorities and ongoing initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of residents and strengthening service delivery across Zaria Local Government.
The visit also provided an opportunity to highlight the importance of effective leadership, institutional accountability, strategic planning and collaboration in promoting responsive governance and sustainable development at the grassroots level.
