The Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government Council, Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad (Jaga), had another busy and impactful day of engagements with religious, political, women, youth and community stakeholders across Zaria.
A statement signed by Ishaq Galadima Chief press secretary office of the chairman said the Chairman began at New Jos Road, Kofar Doka, where he attended a Qur’anic recitation and special prayer session organised by the MOBA Borno Friends Association for the success of the APC, its leaders and the country. He appreciated the gesture, noting that prayers remain an important source of strength and guidance for leaders in discharging their responsibilities.
He proceeded to Tudun Wada, where he attended a programme organised by the Forum of Women Leaders, Zone A, Tudun Wada. The women reaffirmed their commitment to delivering maximum votes in the forthcoming elections and endorsed leaders at various levels. In support of their activities, the Chairman donated ₦500,000 towards the forum’s running and start-up activities.
He thereafter attended the Empowerment and Cash Grant Disbursement Programme for Micro-entrepreneurs, Artisans, Youth, Women and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), organised by the Uba Sani 2 Wice Movement and sponsored by the Hon. Commissioner of Finance, held at the Zaria Local Government Secretariat Hall.
Back at his office, Engr. Jaga chaired the Zaria-Kewaye Stakeholders Committee meeting, which focused on strengthening the progress, unity and continued success of the APC.
The Chairman also received members of the Unguwar Katuka Women Cooperative Association, who presented him with a gift produced by trainees of their skills-acquisition programme. He commended their creativity, enterprise and commitment to empowering women through skills development.
He further received Zaria City Boy Movement Coordinators for discussions on youth participation and community development.
The day concluded with a visit by the Zazzau Women Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited, who honoured the Chairman with an Award of Excellence in recognition and appreciation of his leadership and contributions.
From prayers and political mobilisation to women empowerment, youth engagement, stakeholder consultations and recognition of community initiatives, Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad (Jaga) continues to demonstrate people-centred leadership through presence, listening, support and active engagement with the people.
