The Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government Council, Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad Jaga, today engaged in a series of activities focused on community engagement, grassroots empowerment, political mobilisation, religious leadership and social interaction across Zaria Local Government.
A statement signed by the chief press secretary office of the chairman Galadima Ishaq said the Chairman commenced the day by attending the unveiling of the “A Gani A Kasa, Iyan Zazzau Lungu da Saqo” project, with the sub-theme “Hantsi Leqa Gidan Kowa.” The programme, organised by ATJ Mission 2027, featured a community engagement with 100 community leaders from across Zaria Federal Constituency and was held at the Youth Centre, Tudun Wada, Zaria.
The Chairman thereafter visited a number of APC youth support and mobilisation groups across Zaria, including:
1. Kwarin Dan Goma APC Youth (Matasa) Development and Mobilization
2. APC Magume/Sabuwar Anguwa Youth Support Group
3. Yan Kifi Youth Development, Aminu Road, Tudun Wada
4. APC Mobilization Forum, Layin Labadiya, Tudun Wada
5. Uba Sani Continuity Project, Layin Makafi
6. Tukur-Tukur APC Political Light Youth Support Group
7. APC Kainuwa Youth Development Association, Tudun Jukun
At each of the seven support-group offices, the Chairman presented ₦1,000,000 on behalf of the Executive Governor of Kaduna State and the Chairman’s leader, His Excellency Senator Uba Sani , for the empowerment of 20 beneficiaries—10 women and 10 youths, with each beneficiary receiving ₦50,000.
The initiative represents a gesture of appreciation and encouragement for the continued support, dedication and commitment of the groups to the APC and to the development of their communities.
The Chairman expressed his deep appreciation to the women and youths, emphasising that empowering people at the grassroots remains an important pathway towards building stronger and more prosperous communities.
The Chairman also attended the Ulama Town Hall Meeting and Mini Empowerment Programme, organised by Zaria Local Government Council at the Local Government Secretariat. He appreciated the Ulama and community leaders for their wisdom, prayers, guidance and continued contribution to peace, unity and development in the Local Government.
During his interactions with the various APC support groups, the groups reaffirmed their commitment to the party and expressed their readiness to continue supporting the APC and its candidates.
The Chairman rounded off his engagements by attending the wedding ceremony of the daughter of the APC Women Leader, Dutsen Abba Ward, Hajiya Maimuna Ango, held at TY Danjuma Hall, Wusasa.
He congratulated the newly married couple and prayed that Allah bless their marriage with love, peace, mutual understanding, righteous children and abundant blessings. Ameen.
The Chairman noted that the day’s engagements further underscored his belief that effective leadership requires being present with the people, listening to their concerns, empowering them and serving with sincerity and dedication.
He prayed for continued divine guidance, unity and progress for Zaria Local Government, Kaduna State and the federal Republic of Nigeria.
