The Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government Council, Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad Jaga, on Saturday joined his Boss the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, Ph.D., GCON, and other stakeholders at the closing of a three-day sensitisation programme on drug abuse and domestic violence held in Kaduna.
A statement signed by Galadima Ishaq Chief Press Secretary Office of the Executive Chairman Zaria Local Government Council said the event organised by the Office of the Speaker in collaboration with the National Orientation Agency (NOA), the programme focused on public awareness, prevention, community vigilance and collective action against drug abuse and domestic violence.
Speaker Abbas called for tougher action against drug traffickers while urging parents, schools, traditional and religious leaders, communities and relevant government agencies to play their roles in preventing drug abuse and protecting victims of domestic violence.
Chairman Jaga’s participation underscores Zaria Local Government Council’s commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at building safer, healthier and more responsible communities.
