The Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government Council, Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad Jaga, yesterday attended the inauguration of the new executives of the Kufena Polling Unit, alongside the reception of hundreds of new members who defected from other political parties into the All Progressives Congress (APC) at Kufena Ward.
This was contained in a statement signed by Galadima Ishaq Chief Press Secretary Office of the Executive Chairman Zaria Local Government Council issued to newsmen.
It said the Chairman expressed his appreciation for the enthusiasm, unity and commitment demonstrated by party members and the new entrants, stressing the importance of strengthening the party at the grassroots and working collectively in the interest of the people.
According to him, “We remain committed to strengthening our party at the grassroots and working together in the interest of our people.”
From Kufena, Chairman Jaga proceeded to meet with members of the Iyan Zazzau Skaters Support Group, where he was honoured with an Award of Excellence in recognition of his support and association with the group’s activities.
While expressing his appreciation for the honour, the Chairman reaffirmed his commitment to supporting youth development and sporting activities. In furtherance of this commitment, he presented the group with a ₦250,000 donation to support its activities.
Chairman Jaga expressed gratitude for the opportunity to continue engaging with the people and supporting initiatives that contribute positively to the development of the community.
He prayed that Allah Almighty continues to guide the people and bless Zaria Local Government.
