Sunday’s engagements of the executive chairman of Zaria local government Eng Jamil Mohammad jaga, across Zaria were undertaken entirely through representations and delegations on behalf of the Executive Chairman, Zaria Local Government Council, Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad Jaga, who was unavoidably absent.
The Vice Chairman, Hon. Gwani Abdullahi Abba, led a delegation to the Tudun Jukun Tsallaken Dogo–Hayin Usama Cemetery Committee for the presentation of a financial intervention approved by the Executive Chairman. The Chairman approved the sum of Two Million Naira (₦2,000,000) in support of the ongoing cemetery erosion-control project being undertaken by the Tudun Jukun community.
A statement signed by Ishaq Galadima Chief press secretary office of the chairman said the delegation included Hon. Ismail Shuaibu, Councillor representing Tukur-Tukur Ward; Hon. Aliyu Yau Kufena, Special Adviser on Political Matters; Malam Ishaq Galadima, Special Adviser/Chief Press Secretary; and Muttaka Goga.
The delegation thereafter proceeded to Gidan Yan Bita, Tudun Jukun, to pay a condolence visit to the family of the late Alhaji Yahaya, on behalf of the Executive Chairman.
In another engagement, the Special Adviser/Chief Press Secretary, Malam Ishaq Galadima, represented the Executive Chairman at the 21st Anniversary of NASFAT, which also featured the Launching of the NASFAT Zaria School Appeal Fund. The event was graced by the Emir of Zazzau, Amb. Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli, CFR, alongside other distinguished dignitaries. He conveyed the goodwill and support of the Executive Chairman to the organisation and its educational initiative.
Similarly, Special Adviser Hon. Yakubu Salisu Gyellesu represented the Executive Chairman at the programme organised by the Uwar Kungiyoyi Women Multipurpose Cooperative Society, which also featured the launching of a book at the Federal University of Education, Zaria.
The engagements demonstrated the commitment of the Executive Chairman and the Zaria Local Government Council to supporting community development initiatives, responding to the needs of residents, strengthening institutional partnerships, and participating in important social, educational and community activities across the Local Government.
