The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has uncovered credible intelligence indicating a coordinated plan by certain individuals, including some traditional rulers, politicians, and youth leaders, to orchestrate actions capable of causing economic disruption in the Eastern Obolo Local Government Area.

A statement signed by the state commissioner of police Baba Mohammad Azare said the Command views this development as a serious threat to the economic stability of the area and the well-being of law-abiding citizens whose livelihoods depend on a peaceful and secure environment. Any attempt to sabotage economic activities, disrupt lawful business operations, or incite unrest for personal or political gain will not be tolerated.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Baba Mohammed Azare, fsi hereby issues a stern warning to all those involved in this plot to immediately desist from such actions. The Command is closely monitoring the activities of the suspected organizers and will act decisively at the slightest indication of any breach of peace or unlawful conduct. The Police will identify, arrest, and prosecute any individual or group found culpable, irrespective of status or influence.

The Command remains fully prepared and vigilant in safeguarding the Federal Government’s energy security assets and critical infrastructure across the State.

Let it be clearly stated that the Police will not stand by and allow any person or group to undermine the economic progress and security of Eastern Obolo or any part of the State. All necessary measures have been put in place to ensure the protection of critical economic activities and infrastructure.

Parents, guardians, community leaders, and stakeholders are urged to caution their wards and associates against engaging in or supporting any acts capable of disrupting economic activities, as the consequences will be severe.

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command remains committed to safeguarding lives, property, and economic interests across the State. Members of the public are encouraged to remain law-abiding and to support security agencies with credible information.
