The Nigeria Police Force in Kaduna State has assured residents of adequate security arrangements ahead of the forthcoming Eid-el-Kabir celebrations across the state.

In a statement issued by the Commissioner of Police, CP Muhammad Rabiu, the Command says comprehensive security measures had been put in place to safeguard lives and property before, during and after the festivities.

The Commissioner of Police directed the deployment of security personnel and operational assets to strategic locations across the state, including Eid prayer grounds, markets, recreational centres, highways and other public places expected to witness increased human and vehicular activities during the celebrations.

The Command further disclosed that its Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Unit had been tasked with conducting thorough security sweeps at Eid grounds and other critical public areas to prevent possible security breaches.

As part of efforts to ensure a hitch-free celebration, tactical teams have also been deployed along the Abuja-Kaduna Highway to strengthen surveillance, facilitate the smooth movement of travellers and reduce traffic congestion commonly associated with festive periods.

While extending Eid-el-Kabir greetings to the Muslim Ummah and residents of the state, the police urged citizens to celebrate peacefully and conduct themselves in line with the law.

The Command advised residents to remain vigilant, avoid acts capable of disrupting public peace and cooperate fully with security personnel deployed across the state.

Parents and guardians were also encouraged to monitor their children and discourage reckless behaviour, while motorists were urged to exercise patience, obey traffic regulations and drive cautiously throughout the holiday period.

The Kaduna State Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining law and order across the state before, during and after the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
