    KADUNA STATE PILGRIMS WELFARE AGENCY VISITS JAMA’A EMIRATE TO SENSITISE INTENDING PILGRIMS ON 2027 HAJJ

    The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare campaign ahead of the 2027 Hajj operation, with a visit to the Jama’a Emirate in Jama’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Thursday, 20 August 2026.

    This was contained in a statement signed by Ibrahim DattiPublic Relations Officer Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency issued to newsmen.

    The sensitisation visit, led by the Executive Chairman of the Agency, Malam Salihu S. Abubakar, was aimed at enlightening intending pilgrims from Jama’a Emirate and the Local Government Area on the ongoing registration process, payment requirements, submission of international passports and other essential information ahead of the registration deadline.

    Speaking during the visit, the Executive Chairman expressed appreciation to the Emir of Jama’a, His Royal Highness Alhaji Dr. Muhammad Isa Muhammad, OFR, CON, for his continued support and cooperation with the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency and his commitment to the welfare of pilgrims.

    Malam Salihu S. Abubakar urged the Emirate to sustain its support for the Agency, particularly in mobilising and sensitising intending pilgrims to complete all necessary requirements within the stipulated timeframe.

    He explained that the major objective of the visit was to ensure that intending pilgrims were adequately informed and prepared for the 2027 Hajj exercise. He emphasised the need for intending pilgrims to make the required initial deposit of ₦4 million, submit their valid international passports and provide other essential information before the closure of the exercise on 26 September 2026.

    Responding, the Emir of Jama’a, His Royal Highness Alhaji Dr. Muhammad Isa Muhammad, OFR, CON, commended the leadership and management of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency for the initiative and assured the Agency of the Emirate’s continued support and cooperation.

    The Emir also prayed for sustained peace, unity and prosperity in Kaduna State and Nigeria at large.

    Also speaking, the Jama’a Local Government Council Chairman, Hon. Peter Tanko, who was represented by the Secretary of the Local Government Council, Alhaji Shehu Danbala, pledged the continued support of the Local Government Council to the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency and intending pilgrims from the area.

    The sensitisation campaign forms part of the Agency’s ongoing efforts to take Hajj enlightenment directly to communities, traditional institutions and other stakeholders across Kaduna State, ensuring that intending pilgrims are adequately informed and prepared for a successful 2027 Hajj operation
