Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has chaired the Kaduna State Security Council Meeting at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, Kaduna.
During the course of the meeting where a thorough review of our security landscape and assessed ongoing efforts to safeguard lives and property were discussed.
The meeting was attended by the Honourable Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Gwabin Musa (Rtd.), whose presence reaffirmed our shared national commitment to peace and stability.
He explained that this Council remains the nucleus of our collective security architecture, defined not merely by its composition, but by unity of purpose and resolve.
Governor Uba Sani used the opportunity to pay tribute to the gallant men and women of our Armed Forces and security agencies, and recognise the vital contributions of traditional rulers, religious leaders, and community stakeholders whose grassroots engagement strengthens trust and prevents conflict.
He maintained that “We are encouraged by measurable progress. Through the Kaduna Peace Model, anchored on inclusivity, intelligence-led operations, and seamless coordination, we have shifted from reactive responses to proactive prevention, enabling early threat detection and swift containment”.
The Governor also advise residents of the state to be remain vigilant as the state approach a sensitive political period, let me state unequivocally: the politicisation of insecurity will not be tolerated. With the support of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, Kaduna remains steadfast, united, and committed to enduring peace and shared prosperity for all citizens
