Kano State Amirul Hajj, the Emir of Gaya, Dr. Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir, has led a delegation on visitation to pilgrims’ tents in Mina, Saudi Arabia to convey special Sallah greetings to the state contingents.

The delegation included the Deputy Amirul Hajj and Emir of Karaye, Alhaji Muhammad Muhammad Maharaz; the Chairman of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board and some board members and Director-General of the Board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle.

This was contained in a press release issued by Mustapha Muhammad, the Head of the Media Team, Kano Hajj Operation 2026.

Addressing the state pilgrims’, the Amirul Hajj Abdulkadir applauded the pilgrims for conducting themselves in orderly manner, urging continue supplications for peace and development of Kano State and Nigeria at large.

He also appealed to the pilgrims to pray for the Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, and for continued peace, prosperity, and economic growth in the state.

At a separate gathering, the Director-General, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, announced the 200 Saudi Riyals promised by the governor would be distributed through the centre officers immediately upon their return to Makkah.

The DG assured reminded the pilgrims that the board remain committed to sustain services that guarantee their comfort in the sacred site.

Earlier, three prominent Islamic clerics — Sheikh Aminu Daurawa, Sheikh Tijjani Bala Kalarawi, and Sheikh Abubakar Kandahar — delivered lectures on the significance of Hajj, teachings, and its spiritual benefits to pilgrims.

The clerics also prayed for Allah to accept their Hajj rites and forgive their shortcomings.
