The member representing Zaria City Constituency in the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Muhammad Lawal Bola Ige, has reaffirmed the commitment of the legislature to enact laws and support initiatives aimed at improving the living standards of citizens.
The lawmaker made this known while speaking with journalists during the presentation of letters of appointment and land allocation documents to beneficiaries in Zaria.
Muhammad Lawal Bola Ige stated that the current Assembly has passed several people-oriented bills designed to promote socio-economic development across Kaduna State.
He disclosed that three skill acquisition centres established through collaboration between the legislative and executive arms of government offer about fifty vocational training programmes and are expected to accommodate up to 10,000 trainees.
According to him, the centres are aimed at empowering youths with practical skills, encouraging self-reliance, and reducing unemployment.
The legislator also assured workers at the centres that necessary steps have been taken to ensure the prompt payment of their salaries.
Muhammad Lawal Bola Ige commended the administration of Governor Uba Sani for implementing policies and programmes that positively impact the lives of the people of Kaduna State.
