In furtherance of his operational visit to contingents’ Camps of the ECOWAS Stabilisation Support Mission in Guinea-Bissau (ESSMGB), the Force Commander (FC), Brigadier General Danjuma Ribah Dantani, on Wednesday 19 August 2026, paid a visit to Ghana Company 5 (GHANCOY 5) at the Company Headquarters in Bissau.
This was contained in a statement signed by Major Reuben Kovangiya Military Public Information Officer Force Headquarters ECOWAS Stabilisation Support Mission in Guinea-Bissau issued to newsmen.
Addressing the Ghanaian contingents, Brigadier General Dantani tasked them to sustain the high level of operational readiness observed in the Camp. He noted that the posture was consistent with the Combat Team Commander’s mission, which he said, was anchored on professionalism and discipline.
The FC reiterated the need for all personnel to adhere strictly to laid-down instructions and work collectively as a team towards the effective attainment of the ECOWAS mandate. He commended the Combat Team Commander for his efforts within a short period and congratulated the newly promoted officers of the Company.
Earlier, the Combat Team Commander, GHANCOY 5, Lieutenant Colonel Leonard Kweku Danful, received the FC and briefed him on the Company’s pre-deployment training, administration, operations, logistics and ongoing training activities.
The visit underscores the FC’s commitment to sustaining operational readiness, strengthening leadership and ensuring that all contingents remain focused, disciplined and prepared to effectively execute the mandate of the ESSMGB.
