Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has attended the annual Maulud ceremony held at the residence of the Chief Imam of the Katsina Central Mosque, Malam Gambo Mustapha.
Speaking on behalf of the Governor, the Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Hon. Ishaq Shehu Dabi, delivered a sermon on the significance of Maulud, highlighting the life, teachings and exemplary character of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
He also called on Muslims to emulate the Prophet’s virtues of peace, love, patience, kindness and devotion to Allah, while promoting unity and peaceful coexistence in society.
The Maulud featured Qur’anic recitations, readings from Islamic texts and prayers, and brought together Islamic scholars, government officials and participants from different parts of the state.
