The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr Festus Keyamo, SAN, on 7 October 2026, paid a condolence visit to the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, at Headquarters Nigerian Air Force (NAF), Abuja, following the recent NAF aircraft accident in Ondo State.
The Minister conveyed the condolences of the Federal Government and the aviation community, while highlighting the shared commitment of civil and military aviation stakeholders to safety, professionalism and the protection of lives within Nigeria’s airspace.

The visit also provided an opportunity to strengthen cooperation, professional exchanges, training and knowledge-sharing between the NAF and civil aviation authorities.
Air Marshal Aneke commended the Minister for his support and noted that closer collaboration between civil and military aviation institutions would further promote professional capacity, while leveraging the NAF’s extensive operational experience and aviation expertise.
The engagement underscores the NAF’s commitment to excellence, continuous professional development and strong institutional cooperation in promoting the highest standards of aviation professionalism in service to the nation.
