Citizens have been advised to play politics without bitterness or rancour during the forthcoming general elections.
The Imam of the Abdullahi Ibn Abbas Jumu’at Mosque, Kwarbai, Zaria City, Dr. Abdulganiyu Ladan Sharehu, gave the advice during the Jumu’at sermon in Zaria.
Dr. Abdulganiyu Ladan Sharehu stressed the need for the electorate to elect eligible candidates who would bring about positive changes and ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property.
The Imam called on political office holders to fear Allah and do justice to every citizen, irrespective of differences.
He charged people to pray for peace and unity across the country.
Dr. Abdulganiyu Ladan Sharehu also called on well-to-do citizens to assist the needy in order to gain Allah’s reward in the hereafter
